The Metabolic Reset
Feel well again. Stay well for good.
A 12-week group programme built on the Metabolic Balance® method, with a nutrition plan generated from your own blood results. Not another diet. Precision.
For women who have done everything right and still do not feel like themselves.
Next cohort starts Monday 7 September 2026. Enrolment closes Friday 28 August 2026. 12 places.
Blood analysis, personalised plan and twelve weeks of support, all included.
Does any of this sound familiar?

Your energy runs out mid-afternoon, and coffee is doing more of the lifting than it used to

The weight will not shift, even though you are doing the things you have always been told to do

You fall asleep fine and wake at 3am, wide awake for no reason you can name

Perimenopause has changed the rules, and nobody handed you the new ones

Your GP review keeps ending the same way: "Let's keep an eye on it." The blood sugar. The cholesterol. The blood pressure. Numbers drifting a little further each year

The four o'clock cravings make decisions before you get a say

You have been told your results are normal, and you feel anything but
And underneath it all, something quieter that you don’t often say out loud: the worry that this might just be how things are now.
If you were nodding before you reached the end of that list, keep reading. Because none of it means you have failed, and none of it means this is how things stay. It means the advice you have been following was never built for your body.
You did everything right.
The plan was wrong.
You have done the plans properly. Counted the calories. Cut the sugar. Skipped breakfast because someone said fasting was the answer, then eaten breakfast because someone else said skipping it was the problem. Some of it worked for a while. None of it lasted. And every time it stopped working, the conclusion you quietly reached was about you.
Standard health advice is built for an average person. And the average person does not exist. Averages describe populations. They do not describe you. I spent twenty years in public health working with population health data, and the first thing you learn is how much an average hides. Two people can eat the same meal and their bodies will respond differently, because they are running different chemistry.
And in midlife the gap gets wider. Hormonal change alters how your body handles food, stores fat, manages energy and sleeps. The plan that worked at 35 did not stop working because you got less disciplined. It stopped working because your biology changed and the plan did not.
One more thing. This is not really about weight. Weight is usually what gets noticed first, but it is the surface of something deeper. Metabolic health is the machinery underneath: how you make energy, how you handle blood sugar, how you store and release fat, how hungry you are and when. It is tangled up with sleep in both directions too, because a disrupted metabolism can disturb your nights, and short nights disturb your metabolism. When that machinery is out of tune, you feel it everywhere. When it is well tuned, most of the things on the list above begin to ease.
So the problem was never your effort. The problem was information. You have been working hard on a plan that was never yours.
Imagine what happens when it is.
SAME MEAL, DIFFERENT RESPONSE
Blood sugar after one identical meal, in two different bodies (illustrative)
Illustrative curves, not client data. Individual responses to food vary widely.
Two people. One identical meal. Different chemistry. This is why a plan built for the average person was never going to fit you
What if your plan started from your blood, not a template?
That is what Metabolic Balance® does, and it is the method this whole programme is built on.
Metabolic Balance® was developed in Germany in 2002 by Dr Wolf Funfack, a specialist in internal and nutritional medicine. It has been running for more than twenty years, has generated plans for hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, and is delivered only through licensed practitioners. I am one of them.
Here is how it works:
Your blood is analysed
A 36-marker blood analysis, done at a clinic local to you and included in the programme. Alongside it, your health history, your measurements and the foods you like and dislike.
Your plan is generated from your results
Not adapted from a template. Built from your chemistry: a personal list of foods chosen because of what your results show, in portions set for your body, with a meal structure that lets your metabolism settle into a steadier rhythm. Real food from the supermarket. No shakes, no products, no calorie counting.
You are supported while you live it
A plan is only as good as the twelve weeks that follow it. You start with a 1:1 session walking through your plan and exactly why it says what it says. Then the group and I are alongside you the whole way through.
No two plans are the same. Yours could not belong to anyone else, because nobody else has your results. And underneath the chemistry there’s something simpler: for the first time in a long time, your body is being read as itself, not as an average.
This is what precision means. Not working harder on generic advice, but finally working from the right information.
See exactly what happens, start to finish.
Three minutes, everything explained: the blood draw, the plan, the twelve weeks, and how you’re supported through all of it. If you only do one thing on this page, do this.

Questions the video didn’t answer? They’re probably in the FAQ below, or book a free call and ask me directly.
How the twelve weeks work.
Before day one.
You join, complete your health questionnaire, and I arrange your blood draw at a clinic near you. Your results are yours to keep, in a form you can share with your GP if you choose. Then your plan is generated: your blood results, your health history, your medications and any conditions you're managing all feed into it, alongside the foods you like and dislike. Nothing starts until your plan is ready, which is why enrolment closes when it does.
The start: your plan, explained.
We meet 1:1 and go through your plan together. What's on your food list and why, what your results show, and how to make the plan work inside your actual life. You leave that call knowing exactly what to do first.
The first stretch: the reset.
A short preparation phase, then the most structured weeks of the programme. This is where you follow your plan most closely, because it's where your metabolism gets the clearest and most consistent signal. It's also where the group earns its keep, because nobody is doing these weeks alone.
The longer stretch: your plan widens.
Your food list expands. There's room for a planned weekly treat meal. The pace adjusts to you and to what your weekly check-ins are showing, rather than to a calendar.
Week 12: review, and what's next.
We meet 1:1 again. Where you started, where you are now, and what you keep doing on your own. The point of this programme was never to make you dependent on it.
Throughout, you’re held by a rhythm:

Group calls every week for the first four weeks, then fortnightly

A personal check-in every week: you send your scales or app screenshot, I watch how your body is responding, and we adjust early rather than late

Short education modules released as you go, so you understand what you're doing and why, not just what the plan says

The group chat, because the question you're hesitating to ask is the one three other people need answered
Everything that’s included.
Total value £1,482. Your investment: £997.
That’s more than £600 of testing and plan generation inside the programme before a single session is counted.
The one thing you buy yourself is a set of body composition scales. I’ll recommend reliable, inexpensive options when you join.
The investment.
Pay in full
Everything settled at the start, nothing to think about again.
Total £997
Spread the start
then 3 monthly payments of £216
Total £997
Three equal payments
for 3 months, starting when you join
Total £997
Same programme, same support, whichever you choose. The plans exist because whether September works for you shouldn’t come down to what that particular month looks like.
Is it a significant amount? Yes. It’s also, for most people who join, the first plan they’ve ever owned that was built from their own blood rather than somebody’s best guess, with twelve weeks of real support to live it. Across the programme it works out at about £83 a week, with over £600 of testing and plan generation already inside.
One more difference worth naming, because most of what’s sold in this space now runs on subscription: this isn’t one. There’s no monthly cost that has to continue for the results to continue. You finish with your plan, your food list and the understanding to use them, and they stay yours.
And if you’d rather not do it alone, bring a friend. Everything about changing how you eat is easier in company, and the group is better for it.
Not sure? book a free call and ask me anything. It’s how I make sure the right people join.
What people notice.

Is this for you?
This is probably for you if:

This probably isn’t for you if:

If you’re managing a health condition or taking prescribed medication, that doesn’t rule you out, but it does mean we talk first. Book a call and we’ll work out together whether this is right for you, and whether your GP should be in the loop.
I’m Leah and I’ve been arguing with averages my whole career.
I’m a nutritional therapist and a licensed Metabolic Balance® practitioner, and before that, and still now, I’ve spent over twenty years in public health.
Here’s the thing that shaped how I work. I’m a twin. Not an identical one, which turns out to matter. Same parents, same house, same food on the table, same everything you would put in a study as a controlled variable. Two quite different bodies. If the people who share your childhood kitchen don’t share your biology, the idea that a single eating plan should work for everyone was never going to survive contact with reality.
The rest of my career kept proving the same point from the other direction. Twenty years of population health data, where the average is useful for policy and almost useless for the person in front of you. Then a diploma in nutritional therapy, advanced training with the Institute for Functional Medicine, and the last several years working one to one with people whose symptoms had outfoxed every plan, test and practitioner they’d tried.
I chose Metabolic Balance because it does properly what I’d been doing painstakingly: it starts from the individual’s own blood chemistry instead of from a template. And I run it as a group because the science is only half of it. The other half is not doing it alone.

The September cohort.
Starts: Monday 7 September 2026 Finishes: end of November, before Christmas, by design Enrolment closes: Friday 28 August 2026 Places: 12
The deadline is real. Your blood has to be drawn, analysed and turned into your plan before day one, and that takes two to three weeks. Enrolment closes when it closes so that everyone starts with their plan in their hands rather than waiting for it.
Twelve places, because a group any larger stops being a group.
Questions people ask before they join.
How does the blood test work?
Once you join, I arrange it and send you a request form. If you can get to central London, you take the form to the clinic on Wimpole Street, no appointment needed, just turn up. If London isn’t practical, I’ll arrange it through a national provider instead, where you book an appointment at a clinic near you. Either way a phlebotomist takes the sample, it takes about ten minutes, and you’ll need to fast beforehand, which I’ll explain exactly. Both the analysis and the draw are included in the price.
What if I can't get an appointment before the start date?
Tell me as soon as you join and we’ll arrange it for the earliest slot we can find, so you’re not starting behind everyone else. This is the most common worry and it’s nearly always solvable. It’s also exactly why enrolment closes when it does.
Will I be hungry?
Your plan is built around your own requirements, not around a calorie target, and the portions are set for your body. Most people are surprised by how much food is on their plan. The bigger adjustment is usually the gap between meals rather than the amount.
Is this low carb, keto, or another diet with a new name?
No. It isn’t a named diet at all. It’s a personal food list generated from your blood results, using ordinary food from ordinary shops. Two people on this programme can have noticeably different plans.
Do I have to cook separately from my family?
Not usually. Most of what’s on your plan is food everyone eats. Portions and combinations are yours, but you’re not running two kitchens.
Can I eat out and travel?
Yes, with a bit of planning, and learning how is part of what the twelve weeks give you. There’s a planned weekly treat meal built into the later stretch. A plan you can only follow at home isn’t a plan you’ll keep.
Can I drink alcohol?
Not in the first few weeks, it isn’t on the plan. It can be reintroduced after that. What people often tell me is that they end up drinking noticeably less anyway, without having decided to.
Can I do this as a vegetarian?
Yes. Vegan diets, no, the method can’t accommodate that.
What about allergies and intolerances?
They’re taken into account when your plan is generated, along with foods you simply don’t like. Tell me everything on your questionnaire.
Are supplements required?
No, and there’s nothing to buy from me. Occasionally, depending on what someone’s results show, I’ll suggest a short course of a multi-mineral. In the last cohort that applied to two people out of four. It’s a recommendation based on your own results, never a condition of the programme.
I'm on medication. Can I join?
Very possibly, and plenty of people do. Your medications feed into how your plan is generated. What I’d want is a conversation first, and depending on what you’re taking, your GP kept in the loop. Nothing here replaces medical care or medical advice, and nothing here is a reason to change anything you’ve been prescribed.
How does this compare with weight loss injections?
They’re different things and it isn’t really a competition. Medication is a decision for you and your doctor. This programme is about understanding how to eat for your own body, which is useful whichever route you take, and what you learn stays with you afterwards.
I'm post-menopausal rather than perimenopausal. Is it still relevant?
Yes. Most people arrive during perimenopause because that’s when things change most abruptly, but metabolic health matters at every stage.
I don't have weight to lose. Is this still for me?
Yes. Weight is the thing people notice first, but the programme is about metabolic health more broadly, energy, sleep, cravings and how you feel day to day.
How much time will it take each week?
A group call of 45 minutes to an hour, a short weekly check-in that takes minutes, and a module you can watch whenever suits. This isn’t a course you have to keep up with. The focus is applying your plan inside your own life, so most of what you’re doing is shopping and cooking a bit differently, and that settles quickly.
What if I miss a group call, or I'm away?
Send your questions to the group chat beforehand and I’ll answer them on the call, then watch the recording when it suits you. Nobody falls off the programme for missing a week.
Which scales do I need?
A set of body composition scales, which you buy yourself. They’re inexpensive and I’ll recommend reliable options once you join.
How do the payment plans work?
Whichever option you choose, payments are taken automatically. All three come to the same total: no interest, and nothing extra for spreading it.
What happens after week 12?
You finish with your plan, your food list and enough understanding to keep using both. Some people carry on working with me afterwards, and I’ll tell you about the options at your week 12 review. There’s no obligation and no subscription running in the background.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Individual responses vary, and I’m not going to promise you an outcome. What I will promise is that I don’t leave people to struggle in silence: the weekly check-in exists precisely so we spot what’s not working early and adjust it. If you’re not sure the programme fits you, the call before you join is the place to find that out.
Is my health data safe?
Yes. Your results and health information are held securely in Practice Better, my practice management system, and handled in line with UK GDPR. They’re not shared with anyone without your say-so.
Can I bring a friend?
Please do. Changing how you eat is easier in company and the group is better for it. You each join in the normal way.
You’ve read this far for a reason.
Somewhere in all of it, something sounded like you. The afternoons. The plans that worked for a fortnight. The results that came back normal.
Here’s what I’d like you to take from this page, whether or not you join: none of that was a failure of willpower. You were working from the wrong information, and information can be fixed.
Twelve weeks from now, you could know exactly what your own body needs, and have spent three months practising it in your actual life, with people doing the same thing alongside you. That knowledge doesn’t expire when the programme ends. It’s yours.
The September cohort starts on Monday 7 September. Enrolment closes on Friday 28 August. There are twelve places.
